What is World Ski Nation?

World Ski Nation is much more than a ski trip.

It is an experience bringing together the Francophone Afro community through skiing, music, culture and celebration, in one of the most beautiful settings in the Alps.

Whether you come to ski, party, meet new people or simply enjoy the mountains.

When is World Ski Nation taking place?

World Ski Nation will take place from Friday, March 26th to Monday, March 29th, 2027, in the heart of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, in the French Alps.

Packages & What's Included?

What is included depends on the package you choose when booking.

Depending on your package, you may have access to:

Ski and snowboard equipment can also be rented on-site.

Yes! We offer different packages so you can choose the experience that best suits your preferences.

Whether you are mainly coming for skiing, the parties, or the full World Ski Nation experience, simply choose the package that works best for you.

Is the ski pass included?

This depends on the package you select.

Please check your package details when booking to see whether your ski pass is included.

Is ski equipment rental included?

Ski equipment rental is not necessarily included in the packages.

Ski and snowboard equipment is available to rent in Chamonix.

We will provide practical information about rental options before the trip.

Can I attend if I don't ski?

Absolutely! ❤️

World Ski Nation is about much more than skiing.

You can enjoy the parties, après-ski, activities, restaurants, spas, sightseeing and the overall atmosphere, even if you don't plan to ski.

Chamonix also offers plenty of activities, including:

How do I get to Chamonix?

The most convenient airport is Geneva Airport, located approximately 1–1.5 hours from Chamonix, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

From Geneva, you can reach Chamonix by:

✈️ Shuttle / shared transfer
🚌 Coach
🚗 Rental car
🚕 Private transfer

Private transfer options may also be available for World Ski Nation participants.

How do I get to Chamonix by car from Geneva Airport?

The journey from Geneva Airport to Chamonix usually takes around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic and weather conditions.

From Geneva, follow signs towards France / Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, then take the A40 and N205 towards Chamonix.

⚠️ Mountain weather conditions can change quickly in March. Make sure to check road conditions before travelling and ensure your vehicle is suitable for winter conditions.

What about travelling from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport?

The journey from Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by car, depending on traffic.

The route takes you towards Chambéry before joining the A40 towards Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.

Can I travel to Chamonix by coach from Geneva?

Yes. Regular coach and shuttle services connect Geneva Airport with Chamonix.

The journey usually takes around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.

We recommend booking your transfer in advance, especially during busy periods.

Can I travel to Chamonix by coach from Lyon?

Yes, coach services also connect Lyon and Chamonix.

The journey is longer than from Geneva and can take around 3 hours or more, depending on the service and traffic conditions.

Can I travel to Chamonix by train?

Yes.

However, travelling by train is generally longer and requires several connections, including via Annemasse and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains-Le Fayet.

For a 4-day trip, travelling from Geneva by shuttle or coach may be a more convenient option.

Is parking available in Chamonix?

Yes, several parking options are available in Chamonix.

If you are travelling by car, we recommend checking parking arrangements with your accommodation and the locations of the different World Ski Nation events.

Do I need to know how to ski to attend?

Not at all! 🎿

World Ski Nation welcomes both beginners and experienced skiers.

If you're a beginner, you can:

🏂 Rent your equipment on-site
⛷️ Explore the slopes at your own pace

And if skiing isn't really your thing, you can simply enjoy the mountains, activities and World Ski Nation events.

Are ski lessons available?

Yes, ski lessons are available in Chamonix.

Participants who wish to take lessons can choose an option suited to their level.

Ski lessons are not necessarily included in World Ski Nation packages, unless otherwise stated.

What level of skiing do I need?

There is no minimum skiing level required to attend World Ski Nation.

What can I expect during the trip?

How do I book my place?

Booking is available directly online.

Choose your package, enter your details and complete your payment to secure your place.

🎟️ Spaces are limited, so we recommend booking as early as possible.

When is my booking confirmed?

Your booking is confirmed once your payment has been successfully completed.

You will then receive a confirmation email with your booking information.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?

Tickets are non-refundable, but can be resold via Shotgun.

We recommend checking your availability and the booking conditions carefully before completing your purchase.

💡 Travel insurance covering cancellation is strongly recommended.

What should I pack?

Is there an age requirement?

World Ski Nation is strictly for guests aged 18 and over.

A valid ID may be required when collecting your wristband or entering certain events.

World Ski Nation se déroule en montagne et les conditions météorologiques peuvent varier.

Les activités pourront être adaptées si les conditions de sécurité l'exigent. Les participants seront informés de toute modification importante du programme.
